This year’s gathering is jointly organized by the First Nations Leadership Council and the Ministry of Indigenous Relations and Reconciliation. It is an important time in government-to-government relationships and the Province of B.C.

Reconciliation is a cross government priority, and the gathering is an opportunity to work collaboratively and respectfully to address problems, create solutions and celebrate successes.  The format offers many opportunities for First Nations community leaders to meet with new B.C. Cabinet Ministers on issues of importance to their communities and to network with other leaders from across the province.

This year’s gathering offers all of us face-to-face opportunities to continue on the path towards building a fair, just and equitable partnership where we are working together to close socio-economic gaps as part of our journey of reconciliation.
